Name: Tohru Honda

Age: 17

Looks & Physical Appeal: Tohru has long brown hair that reaches about the middle of her upper arm, not at the elbow but a few inches above it. She has big caring teal eyes that, added with her smile, make her have a sort of faint glow. Her skin tone is pale and soft. She wears two small blue bows on each side of her head and a blue school uniform whenever she goes to school. When she is just out walking around casually she wears a soft baby blue shirt and a pleasantly vibrant red skirt that goes down the middle of her thigh a few inches above her knees and is completed by cute white sneakers and her hair is in two long braids.

Personality: Tohru is depicted as polite, optimistic, extremely kind, and selfless. Her friends tell her she needs to look out for her own interests and not shoulder everyone else's burdens. Tohru is so kind-hearted that she cannot make herself say mean things no matter what the occasion is. Tohru describes herself as an excellent artist who loves cooking and cleaning. She habitually speaks formally but not always correctly. She picked up this habit from her dead father, Katsuya, after he died when she was three. Tohru tends to be especially concerned for people with minor illnesses. This comes from the circumstances of her father's death, when Katsuya was originally diagnosed with a fever but eventually died of pneumonia.

History: Tohru grew up basically by a single mom as her father died of pneumonia when she was only three, therefore Tohru didn’t know much about her father. After her fathers death her mother was willing to take her own life. The only thing that stopped her was the fact that she didn’t want to leave Tohru to live on her own. Her mom taught her to think of others and helped mold Tohru into the kind of girl she is. In all Tohru saw her mom as her number one role model. One day her mom told her the story of the Chinese zodiac and of how the cat wasn’t allowed to be apart of it; Tohru then decided she wanted to be a cat instead of a dog. Every day Tohru would say be safe to her mom before her mom left for work but slept in one day and didn’t tell her mom to be safe. That day her mom was in a horrible accident that cost her life. Tohru believed that it was her fault because she slept in and forgot to say be safe. On her mothers grave Tohru and her two best friends Arisa Uotani and Saki Hanajima made a promise to Tohrus mother that they would take care of Tohru.

Nowadays Tohru carries around a picture of her mom and she talks to it as if she is talking to her actual mom. It is Tohrus most prized possession. When her mom died Tohru went to stay at her grandpas house. Tohru lived wit her grandpa for a few weeks before her grandpa decided he wanted to get some reconstruction done so that Tohrus aunt and uncle could come live with them too. During the time of reconstruction Tohru lived in a tent in the middle of the forest so that she could continue going to school. She stayed in the tent for a few days and continued going on to school. One day as she goes on to school Tohru passes a house that she didn’t know was there. On the porch of the house were small cute zodiac painted eggs. As Tohru admired them she met Shigure, the houses owner and later found out it was Yukis house, the prince of her high school. Tohru walked to school with Yuki and was immediately bombarded by the Yuki fan club. Thankfully her friends Arisa and Saki were able to scare the girls away. Later that day Tohru went to her tent home and was about to go out for a bath when she stumbled upon Yuki and Shigure in front of her tent. They concluded that Tohru was to live with them until reconstruction was done at her grandpas. As she stayed at the house she cooked and cleaned in order to pay for her rent.

Later Kyo Sohma, Yuki and Shigures cousin all with the same last name, dropped in and was told that he would have to live with Shigure as well. Tohru later found out of the curse of the Sohma family, which is if a member of the Sohma family was under a great deal of stress or was hugged by a person of the opposite sex they turn into animals. Promising not to tell anyone of there curse Tohru was allowed to stay. Soon reconstruction was finished at her grandpas and so Tohru packed her things and left to live with her grandfather. She lived there for two days before Yuki and Kyo told her she could come back home with them if she wanted. Her grandfather agreed with them and so Tohru went back to the house that she missed so much. Now Tohru lives in Shigures home and each day she strives to conquer her goal of seeing all of the Sohma’s and solving what animal they are as well as breaking the curse itself.

Rp Sample: The rain beat down covering the ground with soft kisses from the sky. The grass reached up to embrace the touch of affection from the clouds and the wind moved with the loving atmosphere by dancing with the leaves of the forest trees. The birds began their soft tunes of the earth as hey awoke from their peaceful slumbers and the small creatures of the forest began to scurry around for the berries and nuts that dazzled the forest floor. Over out in a clearing next to a small ledge shaded by a wall of beautiful trees was a pleasant little yellow tent. It was one of the simplest tents you could ever find. It was held up by three simple sticks and tied down by six tiny strings of rope that was hammered down by tiny spikes giving the tent a triangular prism shape. The inside of the tent was cozy to say the least. Towards the back there was a backpack and beside it was a small pile of accessories. In the middle of the tent was a snug light brown sleeping bag that had been recently made and beside it standing up against a few books was a picture of a woman.

The woman had short light brownish orange hair that neatly framed her face ending just above her chin. Her eyes were closed but she had the loveliest smile on her face. Her complexion wasn’t too pale but she wasn’t tan either, it was… simply perfect. Her arms crossed neatly in front of her, her left hand bent up so that her hand was in front of her right shoulder and her fingers were bent so that her thumb, ring and middle finger were up making a three shape the rest tucked into her palm. Her right arm was curled around her waist so that her left arm could rest on it casually. She was wearing a dark pink long sleeved shirt with a light pink shirt underneath. She wore a cute red flower necklace and her nails were painted the same color as the red flowers. She wears a lime green skirt and the picture frame covers the rest of her.

As the rain sprinkled down the crunching of feet walking on the grass began to grow louder as a small girl, named Tohru, began to walk towards the tent. She wore a towel on her head and was in a cute blue school uniform. She knelt down in front of the tent and brushed the door open smiling as she saw the picture.

Good morning mom, it’s a beautiful day today. Its raining a bit but that’s alright it looks like its about to clear up. Im going to school now I promise to be back soon. Take care of the house while Im gone ok? See you later mom.

Tohru unwrapped her hair and started to comb it. Once she got the tangles out of her hair she put a blue bow in it and grabbed her backpack and started her walk through the forest and towards her school. The school was very big and white like snow with sections of windows and a big clock at the very top. As she entered the school Tohru walked down the hallway with a cheerful smile on her face. Each of her classes was long but thankfully in most of them she was able to get all of her work done. It was her final class that she had to take homework home. She sighed as the bell rang and she exited the school and began to walk, not to the forest, but towards a very tall building. Once she got inside she walked back up a few flights of stairs and placed her backpack in a chair. She then opened a utility closet and tied an apron around her and cute bandana on her head. She then grabbed a broom and a few bags and started cleaning the floor she was on. Two elder women worked with her and by the end of the night Tohru was paid for her hard work. Tohru took off the apron and bandana and put them back in the closet before she grabbed her backpack and began her long walk home. By the time she reached the road it was nighttime and the streets were bare of people. Thankfully this time the rain had stopped and it was just a pleasant breezy walk back home.

Oh mom, today was so great. The school served a delicious leek soup and I even got to have a couple of rice balls. I got all of my work done today except for my English class; but that’s ok, its just a term paper I can get that done in no time. Oh I got paid today mom so that makes it closer to paying for the rest of my tuition. I hope tomorrow goes just as well as this one did.

Tohru began to softly hum to herself as she made the last few steps to her home in the forest. Opening the tents door Tohru put her backpack up and grabbed a small washcloth. She smiled at the picture and held it for a few minutes.

Im home now mom, I hope your day was great as mine. Im just going to wash up now, I know its late but I got to write that term paper. Ill be in bed soon I promise.

Tohru set the picture, obviously of her mom, back down and took off for the nearby stream. She dabbed a piece of the washcloth in the stream and washed her face with it. Once she was clean she walked back to her tent and crawled inside. She quickly got to work on her term paper wanting to finish soon. After about two hours of writing Tohru was finally done. She put the paper in her backpack and took her pajamas and walked over to a tree and changed in the privacy of the leaves of the surrounding bushes. She then walked back and put her school uniform in the back of the tent and crawled into her sleeping bag.

Mmm, goodnight mom, Ill see you in the morning. Sleep well and sweet dreams.

Her eyes heavy Tohru yawned and finally closed her eyes falling into a deep sleep dreaming of tomorrow which Tohru had no idea would be the start of a new life tohru had never dreamed of before.
